December 1999: Year End Party

30 participants took part. That year Ms. Omori, the officer of the Energy Engineering Office,  was invited. A farewell meeting of Mr. Zahi  who was a special researcher from China (indicated in the top left photo) has done well by the participants. Mr. Zahi left Japan for America.

July 1999 : Traveling

On mid July, 1999 the students' and staffs' went to Hakuba for a "2 night-3 days" visit.

August 1998 : Establishment of CSTN-IV

CSTN is a small-sized TOKAMAK type device. CSTN-III was converted to CSTN-IV with increasing flux densities by changing the iron core. Now it is possible to increase the duration of discharge from 10 ms to 20 ms. Further development is going on.
