NAGDIS-I

This is a rectilinear type divertor and plasma simulation device. The name NAGDIS stands for The Nagoya Divertor Simulator. The purpose of this device is to do the fundamental experiment of high temperature plasma simulation. As for feature of this device, access to the device is good in comparison with that of the large-sized annular device and superior in adaptability. With the stationary temperature plasma type, it is possible to research the interaction between the plasma and solid wall in the divertor region.
